Members are usually people in business, the professions or managerial positions who have reached a stage in life when they would like to “give something back” to society. Membership is open to men and women of all ages and the invitation to join is often from friends or acquaintances who believe that a person would make a significant contribution to the activities of the Club and to Rotary in general.
The Rotary Club of Cuckfield & Lindfield is renowned in the District for its lively approach in creating opportunities for service together with social activities for members and their partners, often leading to solid friendships. Potential new members would typically attend a few meetings as a guest to allow them to get a good idea of what the Club does, what would be expected of them, and to sample the irreverent repartee for which the Club is well-known.
